Maricich Wins 2016 Gold Healthcare Advertising Awards

Agency receives 2016 Gold Healthcare Advertising Awards for digital marketing program among others.

Irvine, CA—Maricich Healthcare Communications has been awarded three 2016 Gold Healthcare Advertising Awards by Healthcare Marketing Report’s 33rd Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards. The agency took home four awards total, including three Golds. The agency won top honors in the digital marketing program category for L.A. Care Health Plan, the nation’s largest publicly operated health plan. The website,, featured a creative theme developed by Maricich for the L.A. Care Covered open enrollment campaign and included many data-driven features such as a health insurance plan and premium calculator. The overall L.A. Care Covered campaign also won a Bronze Award at this year’s competition.

The agency also took home a Gold for Chicago-based Edward Elmhurst Health’s Health Aware promotion featuring Danica Patrick.  The promotion, an extension of Edward Elmhurst’s Healthy Driven campaign created by Maricich in 2014, featured a mobile-friendly health assessment test targeting consumers in the West Chicago suburbs. The campaign was supported by TV, print, radio, outdoor and digital advertising, among other channels. In the newsletter category, Maricich was awarded Gold for University of San Francisco Medical Center’s “Healing Abounds” publication.

The Healthcare Advertising Awards is the oldest and largest healthcare advertising awards competition. This year, more than 3,700 entries were submitted. The awards are sponsored by the Healthcare Marketing Report, the leading publication covering all aspects of healthcare marketing, advertising and strategic business development.

In addition to the Healthcare Advertising Awards, Maricich scored recent wins in the Telly competition—a Silver for a branded 30-second TV spot featuring Danica Patrick, and a Silver in the Orange County Advertising AAF awards for L.A. Care’s open enrollment OOH campaign.
